Task: Repair a damaged motor pulley and belt

Date: March 9th, 2024

Time to repair: 1 Hour and 15 Minutes

I had to remove the back panel of the dryer, clean out any debris, replace the motor pulley, rollers, and belt. This was a pretty easy repair, the only pain was the wait for the new pulley and belt to be delivered. Once everything was ready, I opened the dryer back up, replaced the pulley and rollers, attached the new belt, fastened on the wheel next to the pulley and everything worked good as new.

Tools used:

Power Drill

Sockets: 1/4mm for the backside, 8mm for the circuit board panel

Phillips Head Screwdriver

Grip gloves

Magnet tray

Headlamp

Shop Vac

Broken Pulley New Pulley New Belt

I had already put the new belt on when I took the picture of the broken pulley, before the belt snapped, the dryer had a sort of "shake" when running which stopped happening after the new rollers were installed.
