R.I.S.E Progress: March 12, 2025

If you follow my social media pages, you already know that I skipped the update post for last week since I am on vacation and decided to wait and make a larger post with everything I had completed during my 9-day break from work. Even though I had a much-needed break from Walmart, the work didn't stop there. Although I relaxed last Tuesday to get a breather for the first time in what seems like forever. I picked back up Wednesday and cracked down on modules for RISE along with some tidying up the code. I was able to get about half of the following modules finished by Friday, which saved me more time than expected to get the others completed and uploaded to GitHub.

The modules

These are the modules that I completed during my vacation, and I still have more on the way.

• Alarm: Verbally set an alarm with a custom audio file of your choosing

• Area Code and Zipcode Lookup: Search a US area code or zip code and get the area code, zip, city, state, and country

• Controller, Mouse, and Keyboard testers: These will open a terminal and tell you what buttons you press to indicate what's working. The controller tester will take you to the controller testing program on the computer.

• Text Reader: This will read any text that you highlight and ask it to read

• Voice Typer: This will allow you to type with your voice. I am still working on more functions for this one

• Registry Tools: This one comes with a truckload of Windows Registry keys to try out, enabling and disabling versions. I am still working on a tool to automatically back up the Windows registry.
