Since I had completed the keyboard shortcuts module for RISE back in October, I began working on the "System Search" module, and after plenty of trial and error, I have completed the base model, being able to search and display results in numerical order, allowing me to select a result to open using its number from the list.
It looks like this:
Me: "speaks a search query"
RISE: "Search complete, there are 'X' results"
1.) Result 1
2.) Result 2
3.) Result 3
And so on
Then I speak the number I want to open and it opens, some improvements I am working on now are as follows:
Search specific drives and connected devices
Auto-click admin window
Auto-click always for the "open with app" window
Allow files to be opened in full-screen or minimized
Other features that would make the searching more simple
As far as a public release goes, I have decided not to go through with the open-source edition but I am still on the fence about a direct edition. I will decide once RISE has been 100% completed and works perfectly. With the speed at which I am currently completing modules, I am looking at a possible August 2025 completion.
